Measure 2 quarts of clean, warm water (110°F) into a clean bucket. Sprinkle 8 oz (1 cup)* of MILK MAGIC onto the water surface and mix thoroughly. Always make reconstituted MILK MAGIC as needed for immediate feeding.

Cold Weather Mixing: Feed three times a day at equal intervals. Sprinkle 1 cup of MILK MAGIC into a bucket of warm water (110° F) and bring to a total volume of 2 quarts.

In any calf-raising program, it is important that calves receive colostrum for the first 3 days. Starting the 4th day, feed MILK MAGIC according to the following directions:

Light Breed Calves - 1-1/2 to 2 quarts liquid MILK MAGIC twice per day.
Heavy Breed Calves - 2 to 2-1/2 quarts liquid MILK MAGIC twice per day.

Feed to provide 22.7 mg decoquinate per 100 lbs of calf bodyweight for at least 28 days during periods of coccidiosis exposure or when experience indicates that coccidiosis is likely to be a hazard.

*The measuring cup provided in the bag holds approximately 8 ounces of milk replacer powder. For greater accuracy, a suitable scale is recommended.

MANAGEMENT TIPS:

• Use a wire whisk to agitate powder and water.
• Fresh, clean water should be available at all times.
• Feeding and mixing equipment should be cleaned after each feeding.
• Introduce a good quality calf starter at 7 days of age.
• Offer free choice hay after weaning.
• Wean calves when eating at least 1 ½ to 2 lbs. calf starter per head per day.
