PRODUCT CODE: 5500CBP FORM: Meal MEDICATION: Monensin 1200g/ton APPLICATION: A medicated supplement for dairy beef calves and feed lot cattle for improved feed efficiency. FEATURES AND BENEFITS: 26% calcium and no added phosphorus. Designed to be fed at 0.3 to 0.6 lb/head daily. 3.5% added potassium. 100% vitamin and trace mineral fortified. 350 mg of thiamine/lb. Provides the added calcium required in high grain, corn distillers grain or corn gluten feed rations, without providing excess phosphorus. Reduces supplement cost, improves cost of gain and reduces feed inventory costs. Supplies the potassium lacking in high grain diets required for optimal growth. Meets animal requirements for skeletal growth, immune function and improves performance. Added thiamine prevents polio due to high sulfur levels in high grain corn by-product based diets.
FEEDING DIRECTIONS: Feed this product of the rate of 0.3 to 0.6 lbs per head per day along with corn by-product, forage and grain. Care should be taken to ensure that mix and water are available to the cattle at all times. Feed and water supply should be checked at least twice daily. CAUTION: Do not allow horses or other equines access to formulations containing Monensin. Ingestion of Monensin by equines has been fatal. Feeding undiluted or mixing errors resulting in high concentrations of Monensin could be fatal to cattle. Must be thoroughly mixed in feeds before use; do not feed undiluted.
