Feeding Instructions

MIXING DIRECTIONS:

Measure 2 quarts of clean, warm water (110°F) into a clean bucket. Sprinkle 10 oz (1 cup)* of milk replacer onto the water surface and mix thoroughly. For larger batches, mix 1- 1/4 lbs of milk replacer powder per gallon of warm water. Always make reconstituted milk replacer as needed for immediate feeding.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS:
In any calf-raising program, it is important that calves
receive colostrum for the first 3 days. Starting the 4th day, feed milk replacer according to the following directions:

Light Breed Calves - 1-1/2 to 2 quarts liquid milk replacer twice per day.

Heavy Breed Calves - 2 to 2-1/2 quarts liquid milk
replacer twice per day.

Feed at a rate to provide 10 mg of Oxytetracycline and 10 mg of Neomycin per pound of bodyweight daily. Feed continuously for 7 to 14 days.

*The measuring cup provided in the bag holds approximately 10 ounces of milk replacer powder. For greater accuracy, a suitable scale is recommended.

WARNING:
If symptoms persist after using for 2 or 3 days, consult a veterinarian. Treatment should continue 24 to 28 hours beyond remission of disease symptoms. A withdrawal period has not been established for use in preruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal. A milk discard time has not
been established for use in lactating dairy cattle. Do not use in female dairy cattle 20 months of age or older. Withdraw 5 days before slaughter.
CAUTION: Federal law restricts medicated feed
containing this Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) drug
to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
