Generations™ Commercial Calf Starter 18 (Monensin)

Feed Commercial Calf Starter 18 beginning at day 3 at the rate of 0.63 lb to 4.45 lb per 100 lb of bodyweight, depending on the severity of challenge, to calves to provide 0.14 – 1.00 mg of Monensin per 1 lb of bodyweight per day and 0.1 mg diflubenzuron per kg bodyweight. The maximum feeding is 8.9 lb to provide a maximum level of 200 mg per head per day. Place fresh feed in front of the calves daily.

Do not allow horses or other equines access to feed containing Monensin. Ingestion of Monensin by equines has been fatal. Monensin-medicated cattle and goat feeds are safe for use in cattle and goats only. Consumption by unapproved species may result in toxic reactions. Do not exceed the levels of Monensin recommended in the feeding directions, as reduced average daily gains may result. If feed refusals containing Monensin are fed to other groups of cattle, the concentration of Monensin in the refusals and amount of refusals fed should be taken into consideration to prevent Monensin overdosing. Keep out of reach of children. Discard empty container according to local regulations. Never reuse empty container.

A withdrawal period has not been established for this product in pre-ruminating cattle. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal.
