This is Wyandot Co. 2017
Kalmbach Feeds, Inc., continues their growth in the animal nutrition business and is optimistic about the future. The company has enjoyed being a part of Wyandot County’s agricultural and business fabric since 1963. Throughout the past 54 years, Kalmbach Feeds has continuously grown, profited every year, and has never had to layoff team members. The Kalmbach family has brought the company from a modest feed mill purchased by Milton and Ruth Kalmbach in 1963, to the high tech, diversified and expanding operation that exists today.
In June, 2016, Kalmbach Feeds broke ground on their newest bulk feed plant. The concrete slip form tower named after Ruth Elizabeth Kalmbach (REK) is scheduled to be in operation in January, 2018. There will be grain and ingredient receiving and storage, as well as grinding, mixing, pelleting and finished feed loadout capabilities once in operation.
Again in 2017, Tribute Equine Nutrition will be the official feed and an official Corporate Sponsor of the All American Quarter Horse Congress, held October 3-29, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio. Tribute Equine Nutrition, Kalmbach Feeds’ line of quality horse products, continues to increase in popularity across the country. Tribute products are the feed of choice of many elite trainers and private horse owners alike. The number of retail outlets carrying Tribute Equine Nutrition products has increased exponentially, creating the need to add capacity to the current production and bagging facilities.
Kalmbach Feeds, Inc. is continually striving to meet the ever-changing needs of the livestock community. The company’s commitment to research helps attain this goal. The company is a member of Cooperative Research Farms (CRF), an international firm dedicated to researching and improving livestock and poultry nutrition.
Kalmbach Feeds manufactures and markets a complete line of the highest quality nutritional products for all species of livestock and poultry, including complete feeds, concentrates, premixes, supplements, feed ingredients, medications and feed additives.
The Kalmbach corporate office and original feed plant are located in Lovell, OH on state route 199. The company currently manufactures several types of bagged and bulk feed at this location. The Milton P Kalmbach (MPK) Complex includes the main distribution center, a one of a kind, pathogen free facility, a truck/trailer parking lot, refueling station, and is the site of the retail packaging facility.
Kalmbach Feeds currently employs close to 500 team members, 300 of them in Wyandot County. Additional growth will create a demand for new team members in all areas of operations, broadening the employment opportunities for Wyandot County residents.
Customer service representatives are available Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 6:00PM and Saturday 8:00AM to noon, while the feed plant operates 24 hours a day, 6 days a week.
