Only food my picky ducks will eat

"I've tried every waterfowl food I could find and my ducks hated it all. Finally I tried a bag of this from Chewy. They love it! They get their beaks in a bowl of this and start making their happy noises like they just found a stash of treats. I love that it's not specifically for layers since layer pellets aren't good for all ages or males. My ducks are older, in henopause, and don't need the extra calcium. If they do, they have multiple bowls of finely ground egg shells and oyster shell available."

Great product

"My 2 female Welsh Harlequins love this feed! I can expect an egg from each duck daily."

10/10 recommend

"I've been buying this food for my adult ducks for a year now! I will never buy another brand again! When using purina I had to supplement niacin all the time. My ducks would wobble and limp. The ducks aren't over weight. They get a quarter of a cup per duck daily. Which ends up being 4. 5lbs of food in the AM. They do free range in the evening. I also tried DuMor duck pellets and Nutrena duck feed. None of these other products compare to Kalmbach. I always find myself buying this product right after trying a different brand. I highly recommend this food to anyone who raises ducks! On occasion I do have to supplement with baked egg shells for the new layers."

They started laying again!

"We have loved this feed. Our ducks enjoy it and waste very little. We were feeding our ducks something else and they weren't laying, we fed them this and they started laying within days."

NOT a complete feed for laying ducks

"I have had chickens for several years and have fed Kalmbach feed exclusively, specifically Henhouse Reserve. Three years ago, I added ducks to my farm. Initially, the birds shared a run and the ducks ate both Henhouse Reserve and Kalmbach Duck and Goose feed. My three ducks were laying eggs most every morning without issue. When I moved the ducks to their own run, I began providing just the Kalmbach Duck and Goose feed. Shortly after the move, all three ducks stopped laying…or if they did produce an egg, it was a shell-less egg. This went on for over a year. (Eggshells for additional calcium are always available. ) A bit of research from different university extension offices revealed laying ducks need nearly four times the calcium (3% minimum) provided in the Kalmbach Duck and Goose feed, which only has a minimum of . 8% calcium. After switching to the Kalmbach 17% Chicken Layer Pellet (3. 50% calcium) two months ago, the ducks have resumed laying regularly. I have read over the Duck and Goose feed bag several times, no where does it say it is not a complete feed for laying ducks. While it does suggest providing oyster shells for additional calcium to laying birds, which is customary and usual for poultry, it does not say it is required due to a lack of calcium in the feed. A brief conversation with a customer service representative today confirmed, the Duck and Goose feed is NOT a complete food for laying birds and substantial calcium must be added. To say I am disappointed is an understatement, as my ducks weren’t getting the requirements needed for their health that I thought I was providing them."

Disappointed

"My ducks live your food but you don't even offer it as an online purchase option. . . I need to find a different retailer. If you make it, sell it online on your site!"
